Well, the incident happened between Chris Rock and Will Smith and it left all present at the event to witness something unexpected. But what exactly happened at the Academy Awards this year between Rock & Smith?
Chris Rock got punched by Will Smith at Oscars
It was the occasion of 94th Academy Awards this year and things were lined up for honouring the efforts in the entertainment industry. Well, while Chris Rock was presenting the awards, he ended up joking about Jada Pinkett Smith’s hairstyle for the event.
Not to miss, Jada Pinkett Smith who recently shared about her alopecia to all on Instagram. Her shaved head hairstyle at the Oscars was made fun of by Rock comparing it to G.I Jane movie’s Demi Moore look. Unfortunately the joke made Will angry and he went on stage to punch Rock at his face. He also yelled at him to not take his wife’s name again. Tv broadcast of the awards though didn’t have much of the Smith’s reaction on it as it was cut off.
Chris Rock not willing to put any charges on Men In Black actor
While the Oscars moment between Chris Rock Men In Black actor left all stunned. There have been speculation on whether Rock would out any charges against Smith for slapping him on stage. Though Rock said that he was just joking about Jada’s look, Smith lost his control over him.
Hopefully, Chris has decided not to take that ahead and has declined the chances to put charges on Smith for slapping. Not to miss, moments after Smith slapped Rock, he won Best Actor awards for King Richard. He even went on to apologize to all the nominees at the Oscars and hoped to have Academy Awards invite him again in future.
