EXO’s Kai to Make a Solo Comeback With Second Mini Album “Peaches”

The new album is dropping exactly one year after his last solo outing

We got information in late October that EXO’s Kai will be making his solo comeback in November. And sure enough, Kai has revealed news on his much-awaited return, by sharing the album’s cover and release date.

The 27-year-old K-pop star announced the title through his personal Instagram account as well as through EXO’s official Twitter handle. Titled ‘Peaches,’ the project will be out on November 30 at 6 pm KST.

EXO members had been doing their own solo ventures from time to time, and briefly united in June to release the album ‘Don’t Fight The Feeling,’ with a title track by the same name. The members had left one by one to fulfill their military enlistment, and also to create albums of their own. 2020 was mostly dedicated for that. In fact, Kai made his solo debut on November 30, 2020 with his first mini-album ‘KAI (开)’. Its title track ‘Mmmh’ rose up the ranks of the Gaon Digital Chart and finally peaked at Number 26. It featured 5 other B-side songs as well.

The singer is still employed under SM Entertainment, and they first confirmed the news that Kai will be returning when South Korean news channel SPOTV News first reported about his possible return on October 26.

Kai, like many other K-pop artists has been slowly transitioning into television roles. He first starred alongside his EXO teammates in EXO Next Door, a 2015 comedy series where the idol group played fictionalized versions of themselves. He will be seen next in the Netflix series New World, and will star alongside  SUPER JUNIOR‘s Heechul, Lee Seung-gi, Park Na-rae, Eun Ji-won and Jo Bo-ah.

Don’t miss the album on November 30!
