Reunited with Papa Mochi

BTS has returned to The Late Late Show with James Corden in LA after having a grand time at the American Music Awards (AMAs) 2021. The Bangtan Boys had won awards for Artist of the Year, Favourite Duo/Group and Favourite Pop Song.

And now, RM (Kim Namjoon), Jin (Kim Seokjin), J-Hope (Jung Hoseok), Suga (Min Yoongi), Jimin (Park Jimin), Jungkook (Jeon Jungkook), and V (Kim Taehyung) are back with James Corden, who is nicknamed ‘Papa Mochi’ by the 7 and the BTS ARMY.

Addressing James’s controversy

As many of you know, James Corden got caught up in controversy when he spoke about BTS performing at the UN Summit, and called the ARMY ’15-year-old girls.’ The ARMY got furious at that, and tried to cancel him on Twitter. At one point, he even got death threats, because every fan base has its own group of crazy people.

As they were exchanging pleasantries, RM asked James if he was okay. James of course, talked about the whole experience, and how he never got to that side of the ARMY before. While he was explaining, RM interrupted by saying all is forgiven, and hugs were exchanged, and James even got a bit teary-eyed. BTS proved once again that they were chill about such stuff, and showed their understanding.

James Corden then spoke about their AMAs win, and asked what they felt about it. Jungkook replied that he was nervous today, as they hadn’t seen their fans so close in front for a long time. The group had performed their songs ‘Butter,’ and ‘Dynamite’ on the streets outside James’ studio. Jungkook added that it gave them all a chance to think how precious the whole experience of being with fans is.

Before leaving, the group also performed their latest hit ‘Permission to Dance’ on the indoor stage.
