‘Squid Game’ made history with incredible Acting

South Korean survival drama television series ‘Squid Game’ made history on SAG Awards 2022 stage. With four nominations and three wins, the giant streamer Netflix’s drama is on the top especially in thriller section.

On February 27, Lee Jung Jae and Jung Ho Yeon received prizes for their phenomenal acting in respective divisions at Santa Monica, California. Moreover, the 28th Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards witnessed first Non-English (Korean) Language TV Series to be placed on Winner’s list. Moreover, ‘Going Crazy’ alum Jung Ho Yeon and ‘Deliver Us From Evil’ famed Lee Jung Jae are not only first Korean but are the first Asian to do so.

Three wins at SAG Awards 2022

‘The Fortress’ credited Hwang Dong-hyuk’s blockbuster hit series made its place in nominations of four famous categories like outstanding action performance by a stunt ensemble in a comedy or drama television series; outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series; outstanding performing male actor and outstanding performing female actor in a drama series.

It won in three categories namely outstanding performing male and female actor in a drama series with outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series leaving many other hyped shows behind.

Jung Ho-yeon won Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor In A Drama Series Award for her phenomenal debut. She acted as Kang Sae-byeok, North Korean refugee. On her acceptance speech, she showered crew and fans with love. She thanked audience for their immense support and making her dream come true.

In addition, Lee Jung Jae who portrayed the lead Seong Gi-hun won Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Drama Series Award. On the stage, he made excited yet emotional address to the audience. He quoted the win as a huge success as well as stepping stone of the future. Furthermore, he thanked squid game crew.
