Taemin Shifted to Public Service

After officially becoming a member of the military, SHINee’s Taemin transferred to a public service worker. SM entertainment exclusively broke this news.

Mental Health Worsened

On 14 January, SM Entertainment said in a statement that K-popstar has been transferred to supplemental service. According to the statement released, he showed signs of depression and anxiety before being enlisted in the army. During his service, he found that his symptoms were getting worse, leading them to make the decision to transfer him to a public service worker.

He was undergoing treatment but it was getting impossible to continue the service with the treatment. SM Entertainment assures that they will help with the treatment and will give her any support to find stability. The good wishes from all over the world poured in for the young star after the news came out.

Tenure in Military 

Born in Seol, the 28-year-old was serving in the military till now. Taemin was enlisted by SHINee on May 31, last year after receiving basic military training. Showing early symptoms of anxiety and depression, his mental health issues got worsened after 18 months of his membership.

After the enlistment, the K-pop singer’s photo was shared on social media from the Arm Training Centre. Fans could not help but gush about the star as they finally got a glimpse of their favourite’s life in the military. After the release of the photo, fans flooded social media with their sweet comments. He will continue his public service work till November 2022.

Fans are waiting with bating breath for his return after completion of tenure.
