BIG NEWS TO COME FROM ‘CLASSROOM OF THE ELITE’ – DOES THIS MEAN SEASON 2 IS COMING?

Despite the lack of information, fans are hopeful

The first season of Classroom of the Elite premiered in 2017, and was quite successful. Shogo Kinugasa, the creator, continued to write the light novel until September 2019 before going into hiatus. Things were quiet in the year that followed. However, we have now received a new update about the series’ future.

It began when the anime gave a small hint about the sequel, but somehow, it didn’t blow up. The news was carried a bit further after pages like MangaMoguraRE posted about it. As per the reports, we will get some announcement on Classroom of the Elite: Year 2 on October 27. The news will be shared in the latest issue of Monthly Comic Alive. However, it should be notes that it doesn’t necessarily have to be the sequel. It can have something to do with the light novel as well.

A reason for the studio not making a second season sooner is the lack of sales. The Blu-Ray sales were just around 1,300 copies, and merchandise sales were low as well. However, the light novels are a different story. Each volume had more than 100,000 sales so we can conclude that not many were fans of the anime adaptation.
