Five of the Best Movies and TV Shows Coming to Hulu in October 2021

Here are some normal shows and movies that you can watch as Spooky Season rolls in

Summer is over, and the cold is creeping in. We have a few shows and movies that you can enjoy in Hulu before we release the scary movies line-up.

1. Waitress (2007)

Waitress follows an unhappily married woman named Jenna who dreams for a better life. She has an abusive and controlling husband who she wishes to leave. Her source of happiness was making creative pies at the diner where she works as a waitress. She finds out later that she’s pregnant and decides to turn her life around.

2. The Hunger Games franchise

Based on the young adult trilogy of the same name by Suzanne Collins, the Jennifer Lawrence-starrer was a huge hit. The story takes place in a dystopian futre where America is renamed Panem, and consisted of 12 districts. Children aged between 12 and 18 put their names in a draw where one boy and girl gets randomly chosen. They are then forced to compete in a game where only one can survive.

3. Castle (2009-2016)

This ABC series is still one of the best detective shows on television, with a huge fanbase. It stars Nathan Fillion as crime novelist Richard Castle. When a serial killer starts using his storylines, detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) seeks his help.

4. Shark Tank

The business reality series was a big hit since its debut in 2009. The contestants are entrepreneurs who dream to be bigger. They come to successful business leaders, aka “Sharks” in an attempt to get more financing. Season 13 of the show will arrive in Hulu this October.

5. A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)

One of the movies that helped in launching child star Haley Joel Osment to stardom. The Steven Spielberg directorial takes place in the 22nd century where advanced robots help people go through their lives. A couple, whose son is in suspended animation, brings home a robot to cope with their pain. They name the robot David and raises it as their child. David soon develops a childlike love for his mother Monica and she also cares for him as her own son. It’s an emotional roller coaster that will leave you in tears by the end.
