‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Teaser Trailer

The wait is over. Amazon Prime Video finally dropped the trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The show is set thousands of years before the events of “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” take place. The upcoming Amazon Prime T.V. series is based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s tales. J. D. Payne and Patrick McKay serve as the showrunners for the series.

The Trailer

The trailer opens with a shot of a port city which certainly seems to be Númenor. Galadriel will be a central character at least in the few initial episodes. She appears trying to climb a mountain and riding horses in order to eradicate evil. In one of the scenes from the teaser, she also tries to escape a creature. In addition to this, a lot of other new characters appear in the trailer as well. We also see Bronwyn and Eärendur interact with each other. In the later part of the trailer Eärendur is seen shooting arrows into the sky. We also get a glimpse of the elven king Gil-Galad, Elrond.

The trailer also shows us a few people in trying to get away from an explosion. An absolute treat for the fans.

 

The Production

The series will follow the Second Age. Just after Morgoth was defeated. During the rise of Sauron, the Dark Lord and the union between Elves and Men.

J. D. Payne and Patrick McKay also sere as executive producers for the Amazon series along with Lindsey Weber, Callum Greene, J.A. Bayona, Belén Atienza, Justin Doble, Jason Cahill, Gennifer Hutchison, Bruce Richmond, and Sharon Tal Yguado.

Some of the cast members will stay the exact same and some new faces will appear as well. Owain Arthur, Robert Aramayo, Nazanin Boniadi, Maxim Baldry, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Markella Kavenagh will appear in the series.

The series is set to release Amazon Prime Videos on September 2, 2022.
