Percy Jackson and the Olympians bag new series Order
The wait for the fans of magic, and monster fiction is over! The fantasy series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” has received an order by none other than Disney+! The series would be adapted from the novels of author Rick Riordan. His work has already been featured in 2010 and 2013 as a movie. As much as the stories are engaging, the movies didn’t go well with the author. Hopefully, this time Disney will do its magic!
The Series gets thumbs up from the author
We all know that Riordan has been a harsh critique of the previous films made on his work. He has stated his distaste for the unsatisfactory attempts by the filmmakers. However, this time things are surely in the favour of the author as he will be directly involved with the series. Disney has confirmed that Rick will be writing the pilot along with John Steinberg.
Percy Jackson announcement came after 2 years
This news took its time to arrive. Almost two years ago, the author confirmed that the series is in the early stages of development. Eventually, the progress of the series has been confirmed yet again by Mr. Rick Riordan on Disney+ Twitter. Undeniably, the series has set a new tradition itself!
What do we have in store this time?
In the announcement made by the author, he said that he was thrilled to make the official announcement. He was pleased on receiving the green light from Disney. Moreover, the author seemed convinced that the series was in great hands and spoke highly of James Bobin. James Bobin would be the director for the series, known for his amazing work in “The Muppets”. Now that we have the author’s approval, things have gotten exciting!
A TV Series worthy of heroic characters
The makers are very excited to create a compelling Tv Series comprising heroic mythological characters that people are acquainted with. The fantasy series is based on Percy Jackson, a 12-year-old demigod. Percy is undergoing a phase to adapt himself to his newfound powers. Consequently, the modern demigod is accused of stealing the lightning bolt of his master by Zeus. Percy then goes on a mission to trek across America and restore the lost order to Olympus. I bet many can’t wait to get the thrill kicked in.
