World War Z is the famous hit movie released in 2013, in spite of its troubled production it earned a lot in the Box Office. The movie grossed about $540 million worldwide. This movie is about an investigation done on a virus that turns humans into zombies. This movie is based on the novel of the same name by Max Brooks.
With an outstanding performance in the box office, the movie di not complete the whole story. So to explain what happened after the virus attack, directors are planned to create a sequel that ends up the storyline.
But as the time passed away, and due to some undescribable circumstances, World War Z 2 seems to be dead. But now the creators of the movie are hoping to work upon the project so that sequel could be revived again.
So the question arises whether the movie is going to be released or has it been canceled?
After the success of the first part, creators planned to make its sequel. But as far as for actionable plans, those didn’t seem to come out.
The creators then scheduled to release the sequel in 2017, but as soon project could have started, shooting delayed and was expected to start in autumn in 2018 because the main actor i.e., Brad Pitt has signed another movie which was Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Another delay soon followed, which was caused by director David Fincher, who was busy with work on Mindhunter season two. And because of his busy schedule, the shooting of World War Z 2, which was going to begin in the month of June 2019, shifted and moved forward to March.
As all the dates were now decided, recently came the news that the sequel was delayed again as the producers of the film Paramount has halted pre-production on the sequel. A Hollywood reporter said that the main reason behind the delay was some political issues in China, as China thinks that the supernatural stories of zombies are politically sensitive.
