Marvel Studios Locks Release Dates for Four New Marvel Projects in 2024

Movies and series back-to-back

So far, 2021 has treated the Marvel Cinematic Universe fans quite nicely. Many would say that 2021 has been the best year for the MCU fans because of the content they got this year. The year started off with Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany starrer “WandaVision”, a Disney+ series. It was then followed by another series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan. Then fans got the first season of “Loki” starring Tom Hiddleston.

Fans were then treated with the release of “Black Widow” in July starring Scarlett Johansson, and then fans got the Disney+ series “What If…?” in August. And “Shang-Chi and the Legends of Ten Rings” is currently being played in theatres.

“Hawkeye”, another Disney+ series, also comes out before the end of the year. “Ms. Marvel starring Iman Vellani is also supposed to come out by the end of the year. The release date for “Ms. Marvel” is yet to be announced. Although it is known that the series will release in late 2021. And if this isn’t enough, “Eternals” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” are both currently in line to be released this year.

No doubt, this year has been a good year for Marvel fans.

Disney’s slate reveals that four new MCU movies are on the way

Fans of the MCU shouldn’t worry about running out of movies and series to watch as a bunch of them are scheduled to release in 2022 and 2023. And if that wasn’t enough, Disney recently released their theatrical release slate for 2024 and four different Marvel movies are also included in that list. It looks like releasing four new Marvel movies every year is maybe the new norm. The four Marvel movies are scattered throughout the year on the release slate.

The first date on the slate is February 16, 2024. The next two release dates are May 3, 2024 and July 26, 2024. The final date on the slate for the MCU movie is November 8, 2024.

Previously, Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, only revealed the release dates upto 2023. Currently, MCU has saved seven dates between 2023 to 2024. The release dates for 2024 are mentioned above. And the release dates for 2023 are July 28, 2023, October 6, 2023 and November 3, 2023.

Speculations about the new release dates of 2024

The movies that will be released on these seven saved dates are still not known. There are currently three movies that have been announced without any release date. A “Fantastic Four” Reboot directed by Jon Watts is one of the three movies. “Blade” movie starring Mahershala Ali is the other one. And the final one is “Deadpool 3”. Ryan Reynolds is currently writing the script of the movie.

There were also reports about a fourth solo “Captain America” movie starring Anthony Mackie. There is also a possibility that one of these unannounced movies of 2024 is a fifth Avengers movie. After the revelation of Kang the Conqueror in Loki it looks like he’s going to be the next big-baddie of the MCU. It makes sense that in time the surviving Avengers and the newcomers will have to face the time-travelling villain.

It looks like fans will have to wait for the revelation of these movies. “Shang-Chi and the Legends of Ten Rings” can be watched in the theatres. While “Eternals” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” will be released on November 5th and December 17th.
