Loki series trailer shows an alternate timeline created during Avengers: Endgame

Since he dipped from the 2012 timeline using the Tesseract, the God of Mischief has opened up a new one

Marvel released their Phase 5 roster and fans are spending the day geeking out over the new shows and characters they will be getting to see. Our beloved Loki will be getting his own Disney+ series and the story is looking like it’s based on the events that happened in Avengers: Endgame.

We will be seeing Tom Hiddleston in the lead for the character he has been playing since 2011’s Thor. As the movies went on, he became a fan favourite, but was killed by Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Avengers: Infinity War. But those events seem to have changed after the time travelling we saw in Endgame led the 2012-version of Loki escape to somewhere within time and space using the Tesseract.

Cast and Plot

While we understood that he ends up in a weird place where time is irrelevant, a lot can’t be understood from the trailer. During the presentation, Kevin Feige teased that the series will be a crime thriller. New cast members include Owen Wilson (wow), Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia DiMartino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant.

In the trailer, we see Loki getting arrested by an organisation called the TVA for jumping around in time. But what’s surprising is that he’s brought in as a prisoner but starts working with them as an employee. Towards the end, we see him as a company man and travelling in a private jet.

The best part was towards the end when he says, “Brother Heimdall, you better be ready,” and jumps out of the plane. Mid-air, he gets snatched up by the Bifrost, so many are believing that the events of Loki will end in Loki somehow appearing in Thor: Love and Thunder.
