Jesse L. Martin Hints to return to NBC crime series ‘Law & Order’

Dick Wolf’s NBC series ‘Law & Order‘ is coming back with season 21. While appearing on Thursday on CBS ‘The Talk’, Jesse L. Martin spoke of about the opportunity to once again play his role as a Law & Order investigator, Detective Ed Green.

In the talk show, Martin said he is expecting his entry in the show again as when he left the show, the mystery of his disappearance was still intact. He played Det. Ed Green for nine seasons starting from Seasons 10 to 18. Though NBC declined the news, still Martin and his fans are hoping high.

The old cast is back in ‘Law & Order’

As NBC announced, the ‘Flash’ actor’s original team Sam Waterston as District Attorney Jack McCoy and Anthony Anderson plays Det. Kevin Bernard are returning back. So, the chances Martin’s return is also high with the revival of ‘Organized Crime’ and ‘Special Victim Unit’. However, Interim District Attorney Nora Lewin artist Dianne West straightly denied her return on a interview. Furthermore, The Practice credited actor Camryn Manheim will act as Lt. Kate Dixon.

Martin’s journey in ‘Law & Order’

Jesse L. Martin made his debut as Green in Season 10 and worked as a Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) teammate. Later, the story follows to a trial session on shooting a murder suspect. Though the charges dropped afterwards, but the investigation and mark as suspect broke his heart. Green left his place on the force and left the squad in 2004. In the end, in the 2008 episode “Burn Card”, Cyrus Lupo of Jeremy Sisto replaced him.

New cast heading in with Old : ‘Law & Order’

The new cast of iconic actors like Odelya Halevi plays Assistant District Attorney Samantha Maroun, Burn Notice actor Jeffery Donovan will be on-screen NYPD detective and Hugh Dancy of Hannibal, The Path plays the role of a senior assistant prosecutor Nathan Price will work apace with old returnees.
