‘Kraven The Hunter’ casted Ariana DeBose as supervillain ‘Calypso’
Oscar Nominee American actress Ariana DeBose is to join Marvel’s ‘Kraven the Hunter’ cast. The upcoming movie is a new Spider-Man spin-off which focuses on the most wanted anti hero ‘Kraven’. Moreover, this iconic villain is also famous for his vital appearances in other Marvel series including Venom, Spider-Man and Black Panther. Though the storyline and cast is still under wraps, but, most probably DeBose is set play the role of Supervillain ‘Calypso’.

In Sony Pictures’ upcoming Marvel part ‘Kraven the Hunter’, Ariana DeBose plays the character of most powerful voodoo priestess named ‘Calypso’. She is a cunning lady who always empoison the mind of Kraven against Spiderman. Besides, she work with magical portions and harbours superpowers like Mind control and Resurrection. This character is also associated as the partner and lover of most formidable enemy Kraven. Moreover, in Spider-Man animated spinoffs and video game adaptations, ‘Calypso’ plays a crucial role.

DeBose will work opposite to Aaron Taylor-Johnson who will portray Kraven, the protagonist of the movie. Along with them, Fred Hechinger of ‘The White Lotus’ will play the role of Chameleon, Kraven’s brother. In addition, ‘Triple Frontier’ credited J.C. Chandor will direct ‘Kraven The Hunter’ under the banner of Sony Pictures. Besides, Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk wrote the screenplay and plotline of the Movie. Meanwhile, Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach will serve as producers.
