Jared Padalecki’s ‘Walker Texas Ranger’ gets a Reboot series ordered by the CW! Details Inside!

The CW network has officially ordered Walker – a reimagining of the iconic Walker, Texas Ranger – to series, with Supernatural‘s Padalecki filling Norris’ legendary boots.

The character of Cordell starred by Padalecki, is a widower and father of two with his own moral code who returns home to Austin. The character has been undercover for two years to discover for harder work. Cordell feels that it is the home that might offer him more work so as to keep himself busy and earn for the future. He yearns to reconnect with his adorable kids, navigate clashes with his family, and explore unexpected common ground with his new partner. That would arguably be one of the first women in Texas Rangers’ history.

 

Walker’s first episode is set to be filmed this spring. The release of the episode is followed by the release of the May Upfronts. This spectacular series has been crafted and written by Anna Fricke (Valor) who has signed for the post of executive producer alongside Dan Lin of Lethal Weapon. The other producers are Lindsay Liberatore and Padalecki. Walker is a CBS Television Studios production, in association with Rideback.

The original series of Texas Ranger was viewed by a large number of people all over the world. It had eight seasons on CBS that were aired on CBS Network from 1993 to 2001. Norris later revisited the character in a TV movie titled Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire.

Padalecki has worked hard spending the last 15 seasons playing the role of Sam Winchester on Supernatural. The final episode is ought to be aired this spring. The CW also ordered Superman and Lois series this Tuesday.
