Hellbound Season 2 is being worked on!

Guys, this is the biggest announcement ever! Hellbound’s second season is currently in development.

The Netflix series is directed by Yeon Sang-ho and written by Choi Gyu-seok, and it is based on Yeon Sang-ho’s Yeon Sang-hellbound. Kim Hyun-joo, Ho’s Yoo Ah-in, Won Jin-ah, Park Jeong-min, and Yang Ik-june were the main characters in the first season. The supernatural beings who appear in spectacular ways to send individuals to Hell are the subject of the South Korean television series, which will make its Netflix debut in September 2021.

After its premiere, Season 1 of Netflix’s hit series shot to the top of the list of the most-watched shows online. The At the conclusion of the first season, Park Jung Ja’s ashes and bones fused together and resulted in the woman’s reincarnation, which was a shocking realization that will irrevocably change the path of history.

The show’s comparatively close 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes demonstrates that it appealed to both fans and critics. In addition to other honours, the programme won the Golden Tomato Award for “Best Horror Series.”

Even with great ratings and positive reviews, it has taken a full year for Netflix to renew Hellbound. Given the streamer’s propensity for early cancellations, it appeared as though Hellbound might not proceed. However, even as early as November of last year, the show’s creator expressed interest in producing a second season while complimenting the excellent experience he had working on Hellbound for the broadcaster.

The process of working with Netflix, according to Yeon Sang-ho, was quite joyful for him. He claimed that they respected his opinions regarding his creative vision while also fostering an environment in which he didn’t have to worry about anything other than his original ideas for the distribution of the show or when or how to distribute it.

Season 2 Announcement And Plot

The 45-second clip, which is a repetition of the final scene from the previous episode, doesn’t provide many suggestions as to what viewers will see in the second season, but it’s nonetheless effective in building anticipation. Netflix has confirmed its intentions for a second season of its 2021 series “Hellbound” on September 24 KST. According to sources, Yeon Sang Ho will return as director. Fans were desperate for a continuation after Season 1 concluded on a gripping cliffhanger.

The 2022–2027 South Korean setting of the series depicts otherworldly beings that materialise out of thin air to take victims who have been given their death date and time to hell. Yeon stated that after the show’s debut, it was intended to question viewers’ conceptions of what it means to be a person.

The victims of the decrees will start to resurrect, exactly like Park Jung Ja, and even more concerns will be raised about the New Truth. However, if this indicates that former New Truth chairman Jung Jin Soo will experience a resurrection, will he take this opportunity to propagate a new gospel?

The first season of Hellbound is available on Netflix. The release date for Season 2 has not yet been disclosed.
