HBO’s Watchmen: Know everything about the New Show- Plot, Release Date and Cast details

HBO is going to release a brand new series, Watchmen. It is an American series that focuses on the superhero drama based on the DC comic, which was created by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.

The show will premiere on 20th October 2019 on HBO.

If we talk about the number of episodes, there will be nine episodes in the starting season.

It was a tough job to adapt the graphic DC novel and bring it to the television screens. The producers have given an assurance to bring up the same authenticity of the original content. In addition to it, the series will feature up with something new.

HBO’s official trailer of Watchmen reveals that there will be a bunch of Rorschach masked vigilante in the entire show. These mask-wearing vigilante form an entire secret underground community.

What will be the plot?

Well, the official trailers give us an inside of the show. The scenes from the clip depict a war between Rorschach mask-wearing vigilantes, also known as 6th Calvary, and the Tulsa Police Force. The Police Force is also shown wearing masks to protect their true identity.

The plot sets after Snyder’s movie. The character of the comedian will remain dead. This TV sequel will take place in an alternate history where superheroes are considered as wanted criminals.

After Zack Snyder’s Watchmen, almost a decade later, HBO has planned to release the sequel. The creator of the show – Lindelof shared a post on his Instagram account addressing all the Watchmen fans. He focused on words like original and new faces. He emphasized that he would not delete any previously displayed content.

Who will play what?

Jean Smart will play the yellow and black-suited superhero.

Angela Abraham is the lead in Tulsa Police Force. Don Johnson features as Judd Crawford. Tim Blake will be Detective Looking Glass. Louis Jr. plays Will Reeves. Yahya Abdul will play Cal Abar’s character, and Tom Mison will be Mr. Philips. Last but not least, Sara Vickers will play the role of Ms. Crookshanks.
