Good Omens: MICHAEL SHEEN TEASES THE RETURN OF HIt AMAZON PRIME SHOW!

The fantasy series from Neil Gaiman was one of the best shows we got in 2019

Good Omens was one of the best projects that Amazon Prime decided to bankroll. The series is adapted from the novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett of the same name. So there was no doubt that the show will get renewed for future seasons. Albeit a bit late than most, we will still get a second season of Good Omens. And the news of filming about to start came from Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) himself. Sheen took to Twitter to share photos of his har being dyed light grey. He accompanied it with a halo emoji, since he’s the angel in the story.

The story

Good Omens follows Aziraphale, an angel, and Crowley (David Tennant), a demon. The two form an unlikely team as they locate the misplaced 11-year-old Antichrist before he causes the apocalypse. Meanwhile, the child is like any other clueless 11-year-old and has no idea he will cause the end of the world. The series also stars on Hamm, Miranda Richardson, Adria Arjona, Jack Whitehall, Frances McDormand, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Nick Offerman.

While they came to Earth on a grave mission, both Crowley and Aziraphale grow to love Earth and decide to remain here. Season 2 begins with the two living amongst humans in London’s Soho. But soon, an unexpected messenger comes to them with a new mission.

What the maker said

It was Gaiman and Pratchett’s dream to bring the apocalyptic comedy to the television audience. But sadly, Pratchett died in 2015 and never got to see his dream fulfilled. However, Gaiman says he and Pratchett had talked about what they wanted to do with second part, so he will follow that plot.

We can expect the series to air in late 2022 or early 2023 on Amazon Prime.
