Black Bear Television has Acquired Rights for Novel “Legendborn” by Tracy Deonn
Felicia D.Henderson is ready to adapt Tracy Deonn’s famous book Legendborn into a watchable series. Black Bear Television has acquired the rights and roped in Henderson to produce the project.
Tracy shared the news with her fans on the photo sharing platform. She exclaimed” Bree’s reality, my dreams…let’s go!
I’ve envisioned a TV variation of LEGENDBORN even before it was distributed, and I know countless readers expected it too. I’m excited to be working with Black Bear Pictures and Felicia D. Henderson as we find the ways to make the fantasy a reality. This is only the start.”
The Storyline
Margaret K. McElderry is the publisher of the novel. Deonn won the John Steptoe Award for New Talent in 2021 for her excellence in writing.
After her mother looses her life, sixteen-year-old Bree Matthews doesn’t need anything to do with her family recollections or youth home. A private program for splendid high schoolers at UNC-Chapel Hill seems like the ideal departure until she observes a mystical attack on her first night on the campus.

The Production Team
From Black Bear Christopher Casanova, Schwarzman, and Selena Wilson will be helming the project. On the other side Tracy Deonn, Felicia D. Henderson, Darryl Taja, Pouya Shahbazian, and Ben Stillman are the executive producers of the fantasy show.
The deal has done by New Leaf Literary and Media and lawyer Melissa Rogal on behalf of Tracy Deonn, Michael Heimler, and Adam Raichilson from Black Bear Television.
As per sources, Black Bear television is currently working on the series Exciting Times, The Rose Code, and Scott Cooper’s Angels & Demons.
